Description:

Directs an ongoing university program to ensure that prescribedactivities are carried out in accordance with its mission and/orspecified objectives. Prepares short- and long-term goals andobjectives.

  • Plans, develops and administers methods, strategies andprocedures for meeting program objectives; directs and oversees thedaily activities of staff members.
  • Prepares and monitors the annual budget and ensures thatexpenditures are within budget allocation.
  • Directs and coordinates personally, or through subordinatepersonnel, activities concerned with carrying out the objectives ofthe program.
  • Directs the preparation of and reviews reports and records ofactivities to ensure progress is being accomplished towardsspecified program objectives; modifies or changes methodology asrequired to redirect activities and attains objectives.
  • Analyzes trends within program areas, maintaining expertawareness of program information and change needs.
  • Formulates, implements, and maintains appropriate policies andprocedures concerning program administration.
  • Manages and administers grant for program, including meetings,communication coordination, scholarships and otheroperations.
  • May prepare or participate in the preparation of proposals toobtain grants from state and federal agencies, and privatefoundation sponsors.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Seeking experienced Program Manager that will manage the ongoinggrant-related activities of a medium to large university program. Ideal candidate will have experience and background in projectmanagement, using software applications, and excellenttask-management skills.

Experience will be considered in lieu ofeducation.

Education will be considered in lieu ofexperience.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years ofdirectly job-related experience.
