The University of Houston is seeking a Department Manager for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) program to oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure program success.

This position will be off campus at the Texas Gulf Coast SBDCRegion Office, located at 1455 West Loop South in the HoustonGalleria area.
The SBDC Network is funded through cooperative agreements withthe U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Office of SmallBusiness Programs (OSBP), and the State of Texas. The continuationof all SBDC positions is contingent on the continuation of fundingfrom both the SBA and the State of Texas at current levels.
Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed.
