Job summary

US Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, DC seeks a highly experienced program manager with expert knowledge in acquisition, PPBE, and agile software payload integration to lead critical defense programs. Job description

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing financial, contractual, or programmatic activities to develop reports for stakeholders on program requirements, performance, or operations. Mastered expertise and advanced knowledge required to plan, develop, evaluate, and execute short- and long-range agile software payload integration plans. Expertise in providing oversight of the program's provisions as communicated orally and in writing, including the preparation of proficient presentation of briefings and information to high-ranking military (through Flag Officer) and civilian (through Senior Executive Service) managers focusing on the accomplishment of the program's mission, goals, and objectives. Exceptional program managerial skills and a broad background of knowledge in acquisition or defense program management, cost, schedule, performance reporting, Program Planning, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process. Including effective Program Objective Memoranda (POM) submissions, logistics, budget, and personnel management for assigned activities in any and or all phases of the acquisition life cycle (i.e. concept refinement, technology development, system development and demonstration, production and deployment, operations and support, disposal) for a ship, submarine, carrier, ship system or weapon system.

Mastery to formulate, evaluate, and promote the generation and exchange of new concepts, principles, methods, applications, practices, and processes.

Leading or managing a team of diverse backgrounds in order to study, identify, and solve complex problems and resolve identified issues.
