Job summary

Camp For All in Wisconsin is seeking a passionate Program Manager to lead and strengthen our programming team across locations, including a new site. You will oversee year‑round operations, mentor staff, and help shape an innovative and inclusive programming roadmap that delivers exceptional camper experiences.

This full‑time role reports to the Camp Director, with responsibilities from budgeting to community engagement, and occasional overnight on‑call as Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

Job Summary

For over 30 successful years, Camp For All has prioritized innovation and inclusion so campers with challenging illnesses, disabilities, or special needs can discover life. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Program Manager to lead and strengthen our Program team. This role will support camp operations and programming across our locations and offers an opportunity to contribute to an expanding program with the upcoming opening of a new camp. The selected candidate will be assigned to one of our two camp locations based on operational needs and staffing priorities.

Reports To

The Program Manager reports to the Camp Director.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of full‑time and seasonal programming staff, providing mentorship and guidance to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the Camp For All leadership team to develop and execute an innovative and inclusive programming roadmap.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and problem‑solving within the program department, ensuring intentional support and delivering amazing experiences to campers and guests.
  • Work closely with the team to plan, coordinate, and execute camp programs and activities, ensuring they align with the Camp For All mission and meet the needs of individuals with diverse abilities.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the campers' experiences, incorporating innovative approaches and best practices.
  • Develop and manage the program department budget, allocating resources effectively and ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen relationships and enhance program offerings.
  • Play a key role in building a strong sense of community and inclusivity within Camp For All, fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research, and developments related to inclusive programming and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Act as a representative of Camp For All within the community, participating in events, engaging in volunteer opportunities, and speaking engagements as appropriate.

Health savings account participants also receive an annual contribution of up to $1,000, broken into bi‑weekly payroll contributions. Eligible employees can also participate in our 401(k) plan, with an employer matching contribution of up to 4%.

Requirements
  • Degree in a related field from a four‑year college or university.
  • Three or more years of experience leading a year‑round team, preferably in a camp or similar environment.
  • Strong mentoring and team‑building skills, with a passion for helping others grow and succeed.
  • Excellent customer service mindset with a focus on problem‑solving.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of camp operations, outdoor education, or related fields.
  • Lifeguard Instructor and/or Challenge Course Instructor experience, or the ability to obtain within the first year.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and innovative approaches in inclusive programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • While this is not a residential position, there will be times when overnight on‑call is required as the Manager on Duty. A private room will be provided by Camp For All as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Move equipment and/or objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as needed.
  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
  • Communicate verbally across long distances.
Salary

$50,000 - $55,000
