Job description

STAHL Companies provides the Program Management for its Channel of Commercial Technology companies in Government that consist of Small Businesses and New Technology start-ups.

STAHL advocates for policies that can improve government services and maintain our government’s competitive advantage, by bringing more technology into government programs.

STAHL Companies advocates on behalf of our nation’s innovative, new technology and small businesses looking to work with the U.S. government. We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem.

The Channel’s founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team!

The U.S. Census Bureau is the Nation’s primary source of statistical data about the U.S. population, housing, and economy. These measures support Congress, the Executive Branch, federal, state, and local governments, the private sector, and the public in developing and evaluating social and economic activities. The Bureau’s programs include periodic censuses, ongoing surveys, and reimbursable work on behalf of other federal agencies.

To fulfill its mission, the Census Bureau increasingly relies on innovative information technology (IT) solutions to enhance the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of its statistical products. As part of this transformation, the Census Bureau Transformation Application Modernization (CENTAM) program plays a critical role in modernizing systems, processes, and data management capabilities to meet evolving user needs.

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee CENTAM program initiatives, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery of modernization activities in alignment with the Census Bureau’s strategic mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide program leadership and oversight for CENTAM-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with Census Bureau goals and objectives.
  • Manage the full program lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Census Bureau leadership, IT teams, and external stakeholders to coordinate modernization activities and achieve program milestones.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and integration of IT solutions supporting demographic and economic data collection, processing, and dissemination.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, data security, and privacy requirements.
  • Monitor program budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient execution and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting program delivery.
  • Provide clear communication of program goals, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager within federal government programs, preferably with the U.S. Census Bureau.
  • Direct experience supporting the Census Bureau Transformation Application Modernization (CENTAM) program strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT modernization initiatives, systems integration, and program management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale, complex federal programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP certification strongly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
