Program Manager – Go-Live Readiness & Infrastructure Deployment
Location: Southern CA (Onsite in San Diego 2x Per Month)
Pay Rate: $70/hr- $90/hr
Duration: 18-month
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and coordinate large-scale technology deployments, go-live activities, infrastructure readiness efforts, and workplace technology implementations. This individual will serve as the central point of accountability across technical, operational, and business teams to ensure successful site launches, technology refreshes, office buildouts, and end-user support initiatives.
The ideal candidate possesses strong program management experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record overseeing infrastructure deployments, technical dress rehearsals (TDRs), go-live events, and end-user technology readiness in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Go-Live Management
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of technology deployment programs and site go-live activities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, risk registers, and readiness assessments.
- Drive cross-functional coordination between Infrastructure, Networking, End User Services, Security, Facilities, and Business Operations teams.
- Establish and monitor go-live readiness criteria and ensure all dependencies are completed before launch.
- Facilitate executive status reporting and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDRs)
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDRs) prior to production go-live events.
- Validate infrastructure, applications, devices, workflows, and operational support processes during rehearsal activities.
- Track findings, remediation plans, and readiness metrics to ensure successful deployment outcomes.
- Lead post-TDR reviews and coordinate issue resolution across technical teams.
- Oversee deployment and readiness of IT infrastructure, including networking, workstation deployment, endpoint management, telephony, and connectivity services.
- Coordinate technology implementation activities for new office openings, office relocations, and expansion projects.
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet operational, security, and business requirements prior to deployment.
- Partner with engineering teams to manage infrastructure upgrades, refresh initiatives, and lifecycle management efforts.
End User Technology Services
- Lead computer imaging, device provisioning, deployment scheduling, and end-user readiness activities.
- Ensure desks, conference rooms, printers, peripherals, and collaboration technologies are fully operational before occupancy.
- Manage transition activities from implementation to steady-state operational support teams.
Office Buildouts & Facilities Technology Coordination
- Partner with Facilities, Real Estate, Construction, and Technology teams to support office outfitting and workplace technology deployment.
- Coordinate installation and testing of:
- Desktop and laptop devices
- Printers and multifunction devices
- Conference room technology
- Digital signage
- Network and wireless infrastructure
- Collaboration tools and peripherals
- Ensure technology requirements align with project schedules and occupancy milestones.
Refresh & Modernization Programs
- Manage enterprise hardware refresh programs, including workstation replacements, operating system upgrades, and equipment lifecycle initiatives.
- Develop deployment strategies that minimize business disruption while maintaining operational continuity.
- Track asset readiness, deployment schedules, and post-implementation support metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of Program or Project Management experience leading large-scale IT initiatives.
- Experience managing enterprise infrastructure deployments, technology rollouts, and operational readiness programs.
- Proven experience coordinating Go-Live events or Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDRs).
