Job summary

GALT Aerospace is seeking a talented, fulltime, salaried Program Manager to lead programs related to Military Airborne Communication Mission Payload System Production. The role requires coordinating engineering and production teams, support organizations, and suppliers to deliver projects on cost and schedule for the customer.

As the primary customer liaison, you will track project financials, nurture DoD and aerospace relationships, and apply defense contracting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or similar STEM field, Business, and/or Management.
• 5+ years in Program/Project Management and 10+ years in aerospace defense industry with increasing responsibilities.
• Thorough understanding of RF engineering principles and wireless communication systems.
• Strong MS Office skills including MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with ERP systems and handling large data sets.
• Ability to Lead others in demanding environments with process improvements.
• S. Citizenship required and active DoD Secret, TS/SCI, and/or SSBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead programs related to Military Airborne Communication Mission Payload System Production Program.
• Serve as Primary Customer Liaison and coordinate with engineering, production, suppliers, and support organizations to meet cost and schedule goals.
• Manage project financial tracking and cultivate relationships with US DoD and aerospace/defense partners.
• Understand and apply defense contracting basics and supplier/sub-contractor management.
• Ensure compliance with processes, timelines, and safety standards while maintaining effective team collaboration.

GALT Aerospace is seeking a talented, fulltime, salaried Program Manager to Lead programs related to Military Airborne Communication Mission Payload System Production Program.

At GALT Aerospace, Program Managers are the Primary Customer Liaison and are responsible for leading engineering and production teams, members of GALT Aerospace support organizations, and suppliers to successfully accomplish projects within cost and schedule to the satisfaction of the customer.

Responsibilities also include support for tracking project financials, and building/nurturing client relationships with US Department of Defense and US aerospace/defense companies.

GALT Aerospace Program Managers must know the fundamentals of project and resource planning such as integrated master schedule, work breakdown structure, resourced scheduling including critical path determination, risk identification and mitigation, and are responsible to understand the basics of defense contracting and contracting with suppliers and sub-contractors.

GALT Aerospace Program Managers have significant responsibility and are held accountable for program success. Time management skills are extremely important to effectively carry out the demands of this profession. They must be team-oriented and have effective communication and cooperation. Program Managers are expected to know industry norms, and safe practices to effectively carry out their duties.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in RF Engineering or similar STEM field, Business, and/or Management
• 5+ years in Project/Program Management and 10+ years in aerospace defense industry of successful experience with increasing responsibilities in prototype projects, preferably as a DoD contractor.
• Thorough understanding of RF engineering principles and wireless communication systems
• Strong foundational knowledge in RF/microwave concepts and electromagnetic theory
• A high level of skill with Microsoft Office tools including MS-Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• A high level of skill working with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems and dealing with large data sets
• Ability to Lead others in demanding environments complying with and improving processes for ever more effective performance
• S. Citizenship required
• Active DOD Secret, TS/SCI, and/or SSBI clearance

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education

• A varied background with small to medium sized programs in a rapid prototyping to transfer to production
• Familiarity with RF architecture, link budgeting, and frequency planning
• Proven track record in RF circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Extensive experience with RF simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, CST Studio Suite, or AWR Microwave Office
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Strong background in embedded software development or a related engineering field
• 10+ Years in Industry and Technical Leadership
• Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Strong critical and analytical thinkingAbility to take initiative, multi-task and work well under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced studies and Continued Education in Program Management and Technical Leadership

Pay Scale

At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $148,000 - $190,000 and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
