Full-Time

$80K–$110K/yr (DOE)

Are you a project manager with a technical edge who thrives on keeping complex fabrication and automation projects on track from order to shipment? We're looking for someone who's just as comfortable reviewing a bill of materials as they are leading a customer status call.

In this role, you'll own multiple projects end-to-end — coordinating engineering, procurement, and production teams, managing schedules and budgets, and serving as the go-to point of contact for customers. You'll get hands‑on exposure to industrial control systems and play a key role in a growing organization that builds custom‑engineered fabrication and automation solutions for the utility, power, and oil & gas industries.

What You'll Do
Project Management
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from order entry through shipment
  • Build and maintain project schedules
  • Track engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, and delivery
  • Monitor budgets, labor hours, and material costs
  • Manage change orders and scope changes
  • Get ahead of schedule or procurement issues before they impact delivery
Customer Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Review project requirements and specifications
  • Provide status updates and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate customer inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
  • Build lasting customer relationships
  • Request quotes and lead times from manufacturers and distributors
  • Compare pricing and identify alternative solutions when needed
  • Purchase electrical and automation components
  • Monitor long-lead items and supplier performance
  • Build strong relationships with key vendors and distributor reps
Production Coordination
  • Partner with engineering and shop teams to maintain schedules
  • Review BOMs for completeness
  • Help resolve component availability issues
  • Coordinate project priorities with production supervisors
  • Support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 1–3 years of experience in utilities, manufacturing, or a similar industry
  • Basic knowledge of construction and industry standards
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, remote I/O, HMIs, industrial networking, control panel construction, and UL 508A requirements
  • Familiarity with major automation manufacturers (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Emerson, Phoenix Contact, ABB, Eaton, Siemens, Schneider Electric) a plus
  • Exposure to power distribution equipment (PDCs, UL 891 switchboards, panelboards, MCCs, transformers, transfer switches, circuit breakers) a bonus
  • PMP certification and natural gas industry experience are a plus
