Job summary

The Program Manager manages assigned program(s) from concept through execution and sustainment, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. This role is accountable for delivering approved business case objectives, coordinating cross-functional resources, managing risks, and tracking program performance. The Program Manager also serves as a key communication link between leadership, customers, and project teams to drive successful outcomes, sustain program value, and support continuous improvement.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the interface with internal and external customers for assigned programs

  • Develop and communicate the following:

    • Program Critical Success Factors

    • Program management plans including any fully linked and resourced program schedules needed

    • Required program organization and resources (in conjunction with functional management)

    • Cost budget required to deliver program objectives (as distinct to any price quoted to a customer)



  • Monitor and control:

    • The emerging business case versus the approved business case

    • Salesforce to manage customer, opportunity, and program information accurately and timely

    • The emerging program deliverables, risks, issues and costs and report performance to all levels of management regularly

    • Program resources, in conjunction with relevant functional managers, to deliver functional objectives, e.g. work with Engineering to deliver a compliant design, work with Commercial to re-negotiate scope extensions



  • Manage the following:

    • Commercial and contractual negotiations, in conjunction with Contracts function

    • External supply chain (as required), in conjunction with Sourcing function

    • All program risks and scope changes

    • Functional and gate reviews throughout the program, in conjunction with all levels of management to ensure successful delivery



  • Support the identification and development of business opportunities relating to the allocated program

  • Ensure compliance with Parker Meggitt policies (e.g. ITAR compliance) and process (program lifecycle procedure) and propose improvements to process owners


Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Indirect Reports

    • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports




Travel and/or Driving Requirements: 15%


Minimum Qualifications:

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job



  • Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree (Field of Study/Area of Experience: Engineering, Applied Science, Business or related field)

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) - must be obtained within first 12 months

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical field with at least two to three (2-3) years in program or project management

  • Product development and manufacturing experience with an aerospace supplier is preferred

  • Experience with electro-mechanical, fluid management and/or thermal systems is a plus

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.


Manufacturing / Non-Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.

  • Pay Range: $113680 to $199055 annually
