Job summary

Astrion seeks a Program Manager to lead a DoD space operations program based at Kirtland AFB/Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on securing advanced ground systems and mission-critical capabilities, coordinating multi-contractor efforts, and managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance, PMP/DAWIA, a relevant engineering or business degree, and at least 10 years of DoD program leadership with strong stakeholder management and SSC visibility.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• PMP certification or DAWIA Program Management Level III (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years of DoD program leadership experience (cost, schedule, performance).
• Proven experience supporting Space Systems Command (SSC) or space ground systems programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-contractor programs in high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall program execution, aligning with contract objectives, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage program resources, including personnel, subcontractors, and materials, to meet milestones.
• Develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Gantt charts to track progress.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with technical, cost and schedule requirements.
• Serve as primary interface with Government stakeholders, providing status updates and risk assessments.
• Drive proactive issue resolution, risk management, and continuous improvement across program areas.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and security requirements including SSC/DoD standards.
