Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC seeks a Program Manager to supervise multiple DoD and federal contracts for Pacific Operations in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. You will direct program execution, manage resources, monitor funding, and deliver regular status reports to clients and management.

The role requires five years of program management experience, strong leadership, and DoD familiarity. Travel 5–20% and availability for 24/7/365 operations are anticipated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management or related field plus five (+5) years of experience in project and program management.
  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience managing performance of multiple Government contracts.
  • Three plus (3+) years’ experience in an operational leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • DoD Interim Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage DoD and Federal projects across on-site and off-site locations.
  • Oversee contracts/task orders within assigned area and report progress.
  • Review funding, track labor hours and costs, and report ETC.
  • Staffing and personnel management including onboarding.
  • Identify risks, implement corrective actions, and document lessons learned.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly contract deliverables and reports.
  • Engage with clients, support business development, and manage client relations.
  • Review contracts and modifications; assist with accounts receivable issues.
  • Travel 5–20% and support 24/7/365 operations as required.

Bering-Alaka'ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a qualified Program Manager to support our Pacific Operations Office in Honolulu, Hawai'i.

We are seeking a highly engaged leader capable of managing multiple programs effectively. Programs are varied, spanning multiple Industries and Government agencies. Primary responsibilities include ensuring our successful performance of Federal contracts in the service sector with our Department of Defense (DoD) partners.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages various DoD and other Federal projects (directly on and off-site locations) within assigned areas of operations to ensure appropriate management controls for planning, directing program execution and for monitoring, and reporting progress and issues.
  • Manage all Contracts/Task Orders within assigned area of operations to ensure appropriate management controls for planning; directing program execution; and for monitoring and reporting progress and issues.
  • Review and track funding levels on all projects; develop and manage on-going project status and estimate-to-completion reports; and manage, track and report labor hours and costs for active projects.
  • Staffing and Personnel Management: oversees the acquisition and employment of program resources; create personnel requisitions: conduct interviews; and coordinate on-boarding with the customers and corporate departments.
  • Problem Identification and Risk Management: provide early detection of problems; utilize lessons learned to minimize problem reoccurrence; and follow up to insure problem resolution.
  • Prepare and compile Weekly Reports; Monthly Status Reports; and other contract deliverables.
  • Respond to questions/concerns of the client in relation to performance and labor.
  • Develop and foster relationships with employees, customers, and potential customers.
  • Assist in Business Development opportunities and organizational growth.
  • Review contracts and contract modifications.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of monthly invoices.
  • Review and assist Finance Department with account receivable issues.
  • Participate in special projects and various other duties as required.
  • Will be required to travel 5–20% and as required.
  • Ability to manage, coordinate, and facilitate shift type schedules, requirements, demands, and requirements.
  • Ability to manage 24/7/365 operations and/or contracts.

DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Management or related field plus five (+5) years of experience in project and program management, or an appropriate combination of education and experience in project and program management functions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience managing performance of multiple Government contracts.
  • Three plus (3+) years’ experience in an operational leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook & SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage and ensure the successful completion of multiple technical tasks.
  • Effective supervisory skills: and ability to clarify team purposes and goals, build team commitment, strengthen collective skills, and work approaches; and ability to analyze and ensure that effective and accurate procedures are in place.
  • Ability to lead a team successfully through proven leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage numerous simultaneous activities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent Time Management skills.
  • Experienced in customer interfacing.
  • Ability to develop and nurture client and potential client relationships.
  • Mentoring/Coaching Employees for success.
  • Regulatory Compliance.
  • Ability to effectively enforce company policies.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Value Based Six Sigma (VBSS)

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  • $100,000 - $108,000
  • The compensation range or hourly rate provided is a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable laws.
