Job summary

Parry Labs seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee cost, schedule, and performance of direct B2B subcontracts for DOD prime contractors and direct-to-government efforts.

The role is based in the Detroit, Michigan area with multi‑site customer engagements and frequent travel. You will lead diverse teams, manage risks, and drive program excellence from proposal through closeout.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of DOD industry experience.
  • 5+ years of technical project or program management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with earned value management.
  • Experience in software development and software integration.

Responsibilities

  • Use core Program Management skills to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of multiple programs.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the program.
  • Serve as the primary interface with external customer and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support all aspects of the program lifecycle from early‑stage business development to proposal development to the program closeout.
  • Ensure that all materials and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with program execution.
  • Identify program opportunities and implement internal process updates.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment on complex tasks.
  • Drive technical excellence by setting program standards and enabling execution.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to an integrated product team.
  • Forecast financial performance and manage to financial expectations.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with functions across the organization to ensure program success.

About The Job

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our Parry Labs team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of direct B2B subcontracts for DOD prime contractors as well as direct-to-government efforts.

Based in the Detroit, Michigan area. Will work on customer sites multiple days per week.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Use core Program Management skills to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of multiple programs.
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of the program.
  • Serve as the primary interface with external customer and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support all aspects of the program lifecycle from early‑stage business development to proposal development to the program closeout.
  • Ensure that all materials and deliverables are completed on time.

  • Work with Business Development and Customer Liaisons on growth activities such as proposal development, quoting activities, and visiting customers.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of DOD industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical project or program management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Skilled in MS Office products and MS Project.
  • Experience in software development and software integration.
  • Flexibility and resiliency in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with earned value management.
  • Self‑directed and able to work independently/remotely.
  • Ability to support travel up to 30 %.
  • Preference for experience working with both industry partners and government.
