Aerospace Manufacturing Program Manager – Tooling 2 Positions Available Schedule: 10-hour days, 5 days per week Typical Schedule: Approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM We are seeking an Aerospace Manufacturing Program Manager – Tooling to oversee complex aerospace tooling and manufacturing programs from customer kickoff through final delivery. This is a hands‑on program management role within an aerospace manufacturing environment. The Program Manager serves as the primary coordinator between customers and internal teams including Engineering, Tool Building, Machining, Fabrication, Purchasing, and Quality. The ideal candidate understands how to move a manufacturing program from requirements through production and delivery while keeping schedule, cost, quality, resources, customer requirements, and delivery commitments on track. Aerospace, tooling, machining, fabrication, or other complex manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Program Management Lead assigned aerospace tooling and manufacturing programs from customer kickoff through final delivery and closeout.
• Establish and maintain program schedules, milestones, deliverables, priorities, and key dates.
• Monitor program progress and communicate status to customers and management.
• Track budgets, labor, materials, resources, schedules, and overall program performance.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Tool Building, Machining, Fabrication, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments.
• Identify resource, capacity, scheduling, or production constraints and communicate issues to management.
• Ensure program commitments are clearly understood and communicated throughout the organization.

Customer & Contract Coordination

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding program status, requirements, schedules, changes, and deliverables.
• Review customer purchase orders, Statements of Work, specifications, engineering drawings, models, BOMs, and related documentation.
• Participate in customer and contract requirement reviews.
• Ensure customer, contractual, regulatory, and applicable statutory requirements are communicated to the appropriate teams.
• Identify and clarify incomplete, conflicting, or unclear requirements before work proceeds.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and elevate concerns appropriately.

Engineering & Manufacturing Coordination

• Work closely with Engineering to ensure technical requirements are understood and incorporated into program plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, models, and manufacturing information for program clarity and feasibility.
• Coordinate with Tool Builders, Machinists, Welders, Fabricators, and production personnel.
• Monitor manufacturing progress and identify issues that could affect schedule, cost, quality, or delivery.
• Facilitate communication between office and manufacturing personnel to resolve program issues.
• Support communication and implementation of engineering and manufacturing changes.

Risk & Change Management

• Proactively identify risks affecting: Schedule and delivery, Cost and budget, Quality, Product conformity, Customer requirements, Resources and capacity, Technical requirements, Supplier performance, Customer satisfaction.
• Communicate identified risks to the appropriate personnel.
• Support corrective and preventive actions to keep programs on track.
• Ensure program changes are appropriately reviewed, communicated, documented, and authorized.

Quality & Compliance

• Manage programs in accordance with company procedures and the requirements of the AS9100D Quality Management System.
• Maintain appropriate program documentation and records.
• Support compliance with customer, contractual, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote accurate communication and documentation throughout the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects or programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with tooling, machining, fabrication, aerospace components, or other complex manufactured products is highly desirable.
• Ability to understand and work with engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, models, and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong project scheduling, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple departments and competing priorities.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to identify risks and proactively resolve issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both office personnel and manufacturing/shop‑floor teams.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with management and customers.
• Familiarity with AS9100/AS9100D or other quality management systems is preferred.

ITAR Requirement

This position involves work subject to U.S. export‑control regulations. Applicants must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements, including being a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or otherwise be eligible to obtain the required authorization from the U.S. Department of State.

Schedule

Schedule 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week. The anticipated schedule is approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. No weekends are expected.
