The Celito Team
Celito is a tech-enabled life sciences focused company delivering standardized platforms and accelerators that help biotech organizations streamline operations, reduce risk, and scale from early research through commercialization.
Job Overview
Celito Tech is seeking a Program Manager to join the Strategic Account and Program Management team. This role owns a set of client relationships and the delivery of projects and programs for those clients.
This is an individual contributor role. You will own your accounts, projects, and programs end to end: client communication, delivery, risk, and spend. You will be the day-to-day point of contact for client managers and directors, working alongside the Celito service owners responsible for each client’s technical strategy, scope, and quality, and with Celito’s IT leadership and specialists as each engagement needs them.
Program Managers handle well-defined projects and programs, and bring complex, cross-team, or executive-level issues to leadership, for exaltation and collaboration on a path forward.
How We Work: Celito Tech operates as a multidisciplinary team, where everyone looks for opportunities to help beyond their primary specialty when needed. Every engagement runs on an established model in which program management, service ownership, and technical delivery each have clearly defined responsibilities, so you will step into a well-defined role.
For a program manager, this means real ownership. You will be the client’s primary point of contact on each of your accounts, work directly with Celito’s technical teams, service owners, and leadership, and see your work carried through to outcomes that deliver client value.
Responsibilities and Duties
Owning the Client Relationship
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project leads from kickoff onward.
- Run regular meetings at the cadence set by each client’s service level and needs, including agendas, presentations, and follow-through.
- Communicate value continuously: what was delivered, why it mattered, and what comes next.
- Present the annual roadmap to the client, confirm it fits their goals, and keep it current through the year.
- Support renewal and expansion conversations with Celito’s service owners, and help align the client on next year’s roadmap.
- Identify growth opportunities and bring them to Celito’s service owners.
Reading the Client and Solving Problems
- Listen for what clients are not saying directly, and raise underlying concerns early, before they become escalations.
- Judge the severity of each issue: resolve and address concerns that need clear communication or a reset. Escalate critical issues proactively to the right leader.
Delivering Projects and Programs
- Plan and run project kickoff and closeout meetings with the responsible service owners and technical teams.
- Facilitate the completion of projects: maintain visibility into projects and client work, identifying issues before they delay delivery.
- Bridge technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating technical detail into business terms and client requests into clear direction for delivery teams.
- Coordinate across Celito’s service areas so the client receives one coherent message.
- Maintain project plans, status reports, and risk and issue logs so clients and delivery teams share one view of progress.
- Facilitate efficiency and participation in each meeting, bringing in technical leaders and specialists when their expertise is needed.
- Keep the project management system and client documentation current.
Managing Risk, Scope, and Spend
- Own first escalations: resolve them, or route them to the right leader and close the loop with the client.
- Flag scope creep, timeline risk, and roadmap slippage to the responsible service owner early.
- Manage change requests so changes to scope, timeline, or budget are agreed with the client before work proceeds.
- Track statement of work (SOW) hours and spend weekly, and warn the client before an overage becomes a surprise.
- Communicate successes, issues, and risks to Celito leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of education and experience.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in consulting, professional services, or managed IT services.
- Experience managing several client projects at once and keeping clients informed from kickoff through closeout.
- Strong communication skills, including leading meetings with non-technical client stakeholders.
- Ability to keep cross-functional work on track through influence and facilitation rather than formal authority.
- Technical fluency sufficient to be credible with technical teams and to know when to bring in an expert.
- Proficiency with project management systems, collaboration and productivity tools, and AI tools for notes and drafting.
- Knowledge of working in a managed services delivery model based on business outcomes.
Preferred
Experience or exposure in one or more of the following areas is beneficial but not required:
- Experience in biotech, pharma, or another regulated industry, including GxP or computer system validation (CSV) environments.
- Hands-on administration of work-management tools.
