Job summary

Magna Seating Highland Park, MI is seeking a Program Management Intern to support the Launch team with administrative duties and pilot-seat shipments. You will help label, pack, and track seats and coordinate cross-functional changes per the PCP process.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in business or engineering programs, with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint is preferred. This is a part-time, on-site internship with growth potential.

• Active enrollment in an accredited educational institution pursuing a degree in business management or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative assistance to the Launch team and coordinates shipping of pilot seats, including tracking, labeling, and transportation arrangements.
• Reviews, labels, and packs pilot/test seats on the floor as required.
• Leads cross-functional team on tracking part changes and ensures PCP (plant change process) is followed and documented.
• Documents and runs all PERs/trials and communicates with the customer with all tracking requirements.
• Drives and coordinates launch and change-related activities with plant cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Provides regular updates on all open issues/status, ensuring timely completion within target framework.
• Maintains and updates the Magna Seating Detroit PCP database.
• Facilitates weekly meetings to discuss upcoming new product launches with the MSD cross-functional team.
• Leads pre-production builds and PERs to ensure all MSD departments are aware of customer delivery requirements; reports results to MSD plant management.
• Ensures MSD documentation for new changes is updated per PCP process.
• Understands engineering change scope and timing; coordinates implementation at seating plant per PCP process
