Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Fort Worth is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support project management in the utility industry. The role involves managing contractors and project documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and assisting with project controls. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or Construction Management and relevant experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. Travel to project locations is required at about 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of applicable experience required.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or related is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, demanding work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Management Teams to plan and execute projects.
  • Manage Contractors' submittals, requests for information, and site drawing logs.
  • Verify Contractor compliance including safety and quality programs.
  • Assist with project controls efforts and reporting.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
High proficiency using Microsoft Office
Ability to work collaboratively

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or related degree
