A leading national provider of construction services is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) in Texas. The APM will assist in the execution of high voltage electrical substation projects, working closely with Project Managers and other professionals. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience, with strong organizational and technical skills. The position requires effective communication abilities and may involve travel to project sites.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or related field is required.
Three years of experience in the design, construction or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is preferred.
Ability to negotiate and influence key decision makers is important.
Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager with project execution and monitoring.
Coordinate work to ensure timely material receipt for construction.
Prepare cash flows and monthly billing for assigned projects.
