The State of Washington’s Office of the Attorney General seeks an experienced Assistant Attorney General to join the Program Litigation Section in the Social and Health Services Division in Tumwater. You will provide strategic legal representation for state agencies and handle high-impact litigation.

Applicants must be licensed to practice in Washington and have ABA-accredited law degree; strong litigation, analysis, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a law school accredited by the ABA or completed WSBA Rule 6 Law Clerk Program.
• Licensed to practice law in Washington State.

Responsibilities

• Lead or consult on complex, high-profile programmatic litigation.
• Represent state agencies in state and federal courts and administrative tribunals.
• Provide strategic legal advice to the Division and its clients, including DSHS and HCA.
