Mission Driven Research seeks a Software System Engineer to develop system-level features describing MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria for DoD software implementations.
You will lead feature reviews, adjudicate comments, and document features using MBSE within an Agile workflow, collaborating with contractors, government civilians, and system operators in a small-team environment.
This is a Software System Engineer position supporting the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. The candidate in this role will work with both contractors, government civilians and system operators. Tasks include developing system level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation. Tasks also include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the features. An MBSE approach is used to document the features using an Agile workflow.
System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program. Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired. Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe Agile experience are plus.
Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
