Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Program Leader - BASE for the Cougar Run Elementary program. The role supervises and guides children, plans activities, and communicates with families under program leadership.

The position is a split shift in before/after school programs. Responsibilities include implementing curriculum, ensuring safety, engaging with children, and maintaining a positive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the age of four who are not related to the individual.
• Alternatively, a current early childhood professional credential level I or higher in version 3.0 as determined by the Department.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements program activities and curriculum.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Builds healthy relationships with children by engaging with them positively and responding to their needs and interests.
• Ensures active supervision and safety of all children in the program.
• Supports and guides behavior to promote a positive program environment.
