Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM seeks a senior Program Manager 4 to lead the NA-191 Plutonium Modernization mission. You will manage a major portion of the program scope, report to a Project-Program Director, and serve as lead PM with cross-site collaborations to ensure successful execution.

The role requires a bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience, expert program and portfolio management, EVMS familiarity, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of directly related experience; or equivalent.
• Expert-level program or project management experience with schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Portfolio management knowledge for the assigned portfolio(s).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build external/internal relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop execution plans covering program work from conception to completion.
• Direct interface with program/project/line management to track cost, schedule, and milestones.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of the relevant technical discipline.
• Adhere to Laboratory and regulatory governance for the surveillance portfolio.
• Identify risks, mitigate, and propose corrective actions across scopes.
