Job summary

The National Minority AIDS Council is seeking a Program Manager for the Center to End the Epidemic in Washington, DC. Hybrid role with travel for meetings and field activities.

You will oversee day-to-day management of CDC-funded programs, coordinate work plans, ensure deliverables meet funder requirements, and collaborate across teams to improve health equity and HIV outcomes. Internal candidate preferred with understanding of NMAC mission and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Education, Communications, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 3–6 years of nonprofit program management, public health, or related experience.
  • Familiarity with NMAC’s mission and CEP objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to assigned staff.
  • Monitor workload distribution and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Coordinate program activities to ensure deliverables and milestones are completed on schedule.
  • Develop agendas, meeting materials, and participant communications.
  • Represent and coordinate across departments for program logistics and grant reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, Education, Communications, or a related field
Master’s degree preferred
3–6 years nonprofit program management experience
Familiarity with Center to End the Epidemic goals
