Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum HS degree or GED with 15 ECE units.
• AA degree with 24 ECE units, 6 admin units, 2 adult supervision units.
• BA with 12 ECE units, 6 admin units, 2 adult supervision units.
• Site Supervisor Permit or above preferred.
• Continuing education to meet professional growth standards.
• 2-3 years' experience in ECE/CD setting; at least 1 year mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise center staff to ensure program quality.
• Coach, support and provide feedback to staff regularly.
• Conduct Annual Performance review on time and provide regular feedback.
• Facilitate highly effective, participatory team meetings that foster ownership for outcomes.
• Observe staff interactions with children and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide on-site mentoring and modeling in the classroom.
• Orient and integrate new staff to achieve high staff retention.
• Develop professional growth plans with staff and pursue ongoing development.
• Ensure staffing ratios and enrollment targets are met.
