Community Access Services (CAS) in The Dalles, Oregon, seeks a full-time Program Lead – Lead DSP to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential program serving adults with IDD. The role blends hands-on support with leadership, ensuring safe, respectful daily living and community engagement.

Salary is $22.25–$23.25 per hour DOE with a $1,000 hiring bonus. CAS offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) with company contribution, generous PTO and holidays, paid

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting individuals with IDD or in a DSP role is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and ability to become an approved company driver.
• Ability to pass a national background check.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

• Building meaningful, person-centered relationships that promote independence, dignity, and choice.
• Assisting individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and hygiene.
• Supporting community outings, appointments, recreation, employment, and personal goals.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and skill development.
• Administering medications and completing documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Serving as a mentor and positive role model for Direct Support Professionals.
• Advocating for the choices, rights, and well-being of the people you support.
