Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking an Audiologist (NS) for Murdoch Developmental Center. The role directs the audiology services program, conducts evaluations, maintains hearing aids, and coordinates amplification referrals within the Speech and Hearing Department.

Candidates should have CCC-A or be eligible, and hold or qualify for NC licensure. The position is designated mandatory with schedule Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, at Murdoch Center in Butner, NC.

Qualifications

• CCC-A certification is preferred.
• Licensed to practice audiology in NC is required or must be eligible.
• Extensive knowledge of hearing disorders across age groups is essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate audiology services at Murdoch Center.
• Provide audiological evaluations for residents.
• Maintain and service hearing aids and devices.
• Refer patients for amplification and assistive technologies as needed.
