Job summary

HRB is seeking a Program Finance Analyst in Fairfax, VA (Hybrid) to support program financials, forecasting, and reporting for a growing aerospace/defense organization. The ideal candidate will have GovCon experience and provide actionable insights to program managers and leadership.

Responsibilities include EAC development, variance analysis, and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. This role requires strong Excel skills and a track record of data-driven analysis to inform business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Program Finance, FP&A, or Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with government contract types: FFP, CPFF, T&M.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• Prepare and support Estimate at Completion (EAC), forecasting, and budgeting activities
• Analyze program financial performance, including variance analysis and trend identification
• Provide financial data and reporting for internal business reviews and leadership decision-making
• Monitor key performance indicators and investigate drivers of unexpected variances
• Support program setup, maintenance, and contract closeout activities
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
• Ensure financial reporting aligns with GAAP standards and compliance requirements
