Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing in Fairfax, VA is partnering with a growing aerospace/defense organization to hire a Program Finance Analyst. The role supports program financials, forecasting, and reporting in a hybrid environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in finance or accounting, 2+ years FP&A or accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Government contract experience and advanced Excel are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Program Finance, FP&A, or Accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with government contract types: FFP, CPFF, T&M.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support Estimate at Completion (EAC), forecasting, and budgeting activities.
• Analyze program financial performance, including variance analysis and trend identification.
• Provide financial data and reporting for internal business reviews and leadership decision-making.
• Monitor key performance indicators and investigate drivers of unexpected variances.
• Support program setup, maintenance, and contract closeout activities.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
• Ensure financial reporting aligns with GAAP standards and compliance requirements.
