Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a finance professional to analyze complex financial data, forecast revenues and expenditures, and support program finance across large government programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
• Understanding of accrual accounting.
• Understanding of US GAAP.
• Prior Costpoint and Cognos experience preferred.
• 2 or more years’ experience in government contracting and finance/public accounting desired.
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think on one’s feet.
• Understanding of financial planning and strategy.
• Understanding of revenue recognition and requirements analysis.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.
• Ability to work well with others as well as independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes complex financial data to forecast revenues and expenditures for programs of significant scope and complexity.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual bottoms-up cost and revenue forecasts.
• Maintains rolling forecasts and quarterly outlooks for large programs.
• Determines cost of large project and program operations by establishing standard costs and collecting data.
• Compares actual results to plans and forecasts, identifying variances.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and presentations for reviews.
• Reviews AP/AR invoices for accuracy and completes accrual reconciliations.
• Assists program teams with financial reporting requirements to corporate.
