Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA seeks a Program Finance Analyst 2 to partner with internal and external stakeholders and manage the financials for national defense contracts.

The role requires 3-5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance. You will use EVMS, ERP, and Cobra to develop baselines, monitor performance, and support PMRs/QBRs, invoicing, and funding status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline; Master's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing EVMS or related processes.
• Supports baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable.
• Provides updates/changes for programs with and without EV requirements in ERP or Cobra.
• Provides analysis and reports on the performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed.
• Analyzes and reports risks & Opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC.
• Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
• Provides timely completion of the EAC process, time-phased EAC updates, and EAC package support for planning and reporting.
• Develops and monitors the program level time-phased plan to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning.
• Provides financial data inputs, analysis, and variance narrative for PMRs and QBRs.
• Provides timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables.
• Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including funding status and disposition of funding subject to cancellation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary

The Program Finance Analyst 2 collaborates with our internal and external customers as the business partner of choice to ensure they have the financial acumen, accuracy, and dedicated support to execute significant contracts in support of national defense.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provides timely and accurate metrics on schedule and cost performance utilizing Earned Value or related processes
• Supports all baseline development activities and development of charge numbers and WBS as applicable
• Provides updates/changes as required, for programs with and without Earned Value requirements, in applicable tools (ERP or Cobra).
• Provides analysis and reports on the performance variances to budget and assist with recovery plans as needed.
• Analyzes and reports risks & Opportunities to the baseline cost, schedule, and the EAC.
• Ensures timely maintenance of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
• Provides timely completion of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process, processing time-phased estimate to complete updates, and EAC package support for Program Financial Planning and Reporting.
• Develops and Monitors the program level time-phased plan to support an overall program level view of revenue for forecast, budget, and 5-year planning processes.
• Provides the financial data inputs, analysis, and applicable variance narrative for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business -Reviews (QBRs)
• Provides timely invoicing and collection of customer receivables
• Reviews and communicates the status of program financials, including the status on funding, and disposition of funding that is subject to cancellation.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities

• Able to use EVMS principles in daily operations with proven expertise
• Knowledge of program financial controls with DoD programs
• Knowledge of relevant federal acquisition regulations and standards such as CAS/FAR/DFARS
• Knowledge of different contract types (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPIF, T&M)
• Knowledge of relevant accounting subject matters, including revenue recognition
• Ability to present complex information to all levels of management
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Proficient with Microsoft software applications
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to multi-task and is detail oriented
• Ability to ensure tasks are completed on time and accurate
• Self-starter that is capable of working independently

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$75,000.00 - $156,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
