Job summary

Curls, Coils & Crowns is hiring a Program Facilitator to deliver on-site youth programs that empower school-aged Black girls. You will plan workshops, run group sessions, and support participants in building self-esteem, leadership, and SEL skills, while coordinating with schools and caregivers.

The role requires collaboration, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed practices, with an emphasis on equity and safeguarding. Evening or weekend events may be required.

Role Description

The Program Facilitator is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading and supporting youth programs that align with the mission of Curls, Coils & Crowns. Day-to-day activities include planning and facilitating workshops, group sessions, and activities that promote self-esteem, leadership, and social-emotional learning for school-aged participants. The Program Facilitator will collaborate with schools, community partners, and caregivers to coordinate schedules, manage participant enrollment, and ensure programs run smoothly and safely. This role includes preparing lesson plans and materials, tracking attendance and outcomes, and providing regular feedback and reports to organizational leadership. The Program Facilitator will also help refine program content based on participant feedback, contribute to outreach efforts, and support organizational events as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience facilitating youth programs, workshops, or group activities in educational or community settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children, families, and partners.
• Ability to create inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive environments that honor the identities and experiences of Black girls.
• Organizational and time-management skills, including planning sessions, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience collaborating with schools, community organizations, or youth-serving agencies.
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills to respond to participant needs and dynamic group settings.
• Commitment to the mission of empowerment, equity, and anti-bias education, with an understanding of issues impacting Black girls and their communities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in education, social work, youth development, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Chino, CA, including occasional evenings or weekends for special programs or events.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, and adherence to all child-safety and safeguarding guidelines.
