Job summary

Qualifications

Description of the position:

Will play a critical role in optimizing the efficiency and profitability of End of Lease (EOL) and aircraft transition events within Aircraft Maintenance Services (AMS). Responsible for streamlining EOL/transition activities to seamlessly integrate with base maintenance operations, ensuring comprehensive project preparation and effective program management. Will lead high-value, multi-project portfolios, ensuring all customer, regulatory, and commercial requirements including adherence to FAA and international aviation standards are rigorously met. Will act as the primary interface between lessees, lessors, and cross-functional teams, negotiating complex agreements and overseeing the delivery of critical documentation and operational outcomes. Additionally, this role will support the launch and market introduction of new EOL/transition service offerings, aligning practices with industry standards.

Project Readiness & Preparation

• Ensure all parties involved in EOL/transition events are project-ready, the Readiness Checklist is completed, and all required documentation and materials—including those needed for FAA compliance—are available in a timely manner.
• Oversee the PMO Project Team during the preparation phase, managing and evaluating customer Change Request Items (CRIs) within planning processes.
• Ensure preconditions for End of Lease transition are identified and reflected in both acquisition and fulfillment processes.
• Participate in decision‑making regarding slot length and scheduling during the acquisition phase.
• Support Business units with TAT, inclusions and exclusions, and slot allocation to optimize project performance.
• Introduce the PMO Project Team to the customer and facilitate a face‑to‑face kick‑off meeting at program start.
• Initiate early contact between LTPR and the customer during the project preparation phase.

Communication, Coordination & Stakeholder Alignment

• Develop and maintain effective communication channels across all involved parties (Lessor, Lessee, LTPR).
• Establish bilateral communication between customers and LTPR teams (Engineering, Planning, Materials Management, Quality, and other relevant departments).
• Support contract preparation and negotiation by assisting Business units with risk assessments, issue tracking, historical data, and evaluation of potential agency behavior and impact.

Regulatory, Airworthiness & Compliance Requirements

• Ensure FAA Part 145 compliance and adherence to RSQCM manual, Repair Station Training Program, and the IQ MOVE processes
• Ensure all documentation and materials are prepared in line with FAA requirements and suitable for external regulatory review.
• Monitor and report on EOL/transition event KPIs, ensuring compliance with internal and external (including FAA) standards.
• Ensure customer requirements for fleet modifications are understood and develop optimal, regulation‑compliant solutions.
• Ensure timely provision of modification documentation and kits from the customer to meet regulatory and operational timelines.
• Advise on capacity planning, highlighting any anticipated shortfalls or concerns during requirements input, considering both regulatory and operational constraints.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring prioritization and reprioritization of tasks as needed to meet project milestones.
• Collaborate to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to execution phase and after-sales, maintaining robust information flows and complete documentation.
• Ensure warranty claims, invoice clarifications, and disputes between LTPR and the customer are addressed promptly by the department responsible.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues across the organization to support smooth project execution.
• Align paint slots, delivery of major components (Engines, LDG), and modification kits with the customer’s scheduled maintenance slots.
• Assess new requirements coming from the Customer/ Lessor and develop optimum solutions.
• Ensure that TAT‑related lessons learned are communicated to departments responsible for improving future layover performance.
• Participate in project handover and post‑project wash‑up meetings to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure continuous improvement of service quality in compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards.

Leadership & Technical Expertise

• Deputize for the Planning & Engineering Manager when required.
• Mentor and coach project team colleagues to promote best practices
• Support onboarding and training of newcomers.
• Professionally represent LTPR in interactions with Lessees, Lessors, and their service providers
• Participate in strategic or cross-functional projects within PED.
• Provide consultation and support on matters related to the End of Lease (EOL)/transition business, ensuring alignment with FAA guidelines and industry best practices.
• Foster a healthy team spirit within Planning and Engineering Department, encouraging collaboration and a culture of safety and compliance.

Education, skills and competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated project management skills with a proven ability to manage complex projects within FAA-regulated environments.
• Minimum five(5)years of technical experience in aviation, including aircraft maintenance, production planning, oraviation program management.(e.g., Part 145, Part 121, or Part 21J).
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, maintenance planning and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and industry standards.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with internal teams, regulators, and external stakeholders.
• Experience working in cross-functional and/or international teams, preferably in an FAA-certified repair station or airline environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply FAA regulations, guidance materials, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with sound judgment and a solution-oriented approach.
• Conflict management and problem-solving competence, especially in regulated environments.
