Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a senior program leader to drive cross-functional restructuring initiatives in our Defense Systems division. You will partner across teams, manage budgets, and set cadence for execution while navigating ambiguity with a systemic approach.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, strong leadership, and proven ability to deliver results. A 9/80 work schedule with robust benefits and relocation support is offered where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years relevant experience or Master’s with 6 years, or 4 extra years in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years experience leading a project or driving performance against schedule.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with process improvement and cadence of the team’s execution.
  • Experience in proposal capture management for Technology Maturation Risk Reduction.
  • Proficient in Jira, Confluence, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel 10% of time.

  • Prepares charts, briefings and metrics for the Restructure Director.
  • Coordinates SharePoint database changes with admins and developers.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience or a Masters and 6 years of experience or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 5 year's experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

  • Experience with process improvement and drive cadence of the team’s execution
  • Experience in proposal capture management and execution, specifically related to Technology Maturation Risk Reduction activities.

These Qualificatins Are Nice To Have
  • Previous technical experience with concentration in systems engineering, technical project management, or operations of systems and technologies
  • Current and active Secret security clearance or higher
  • Detailed and team oriented with demonstrated leadership and organization skills.
  • Proven ability to help solve problems or conflicts within teams
  • Master's in Business or technical field
  • Leading through a program or project start-up and effectively rolling out and managing change
  • Depth and breadth of experience with defense products and services, including understanding of DoD weapons programs.
  • Collaborating across organizations to bring forward a consolidated objective and measure performance

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
