Job summary

BAE Systems Weapons System (WS) Product Line seeks a PEM II to provide technical oversight for SAR/direction-finding seeker development and act as primary liaison with LRPF programs and supplier efforts. The role is based in Maple Grove, MN and Huntsville, AL with up to 50% travel, and involves coordinating SOW changes and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, with 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Expertise in technical leadership leading technical staff, with 2+ years managing or developing related weapon systems technologies.
• This role requires presence in manufacturing or fabrication environments; access to production areas and adherence to PPE are required.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: advise stakeholders and teams on SAR hardware maturation, RF development, seeker software architecture, and direction-finding algorithms.
• SAR Seeker Oversight: provide dedicated technical oversight for SAR/direction-finding seeker development throughout its lifecycle.
• Contractual Technical Authority: act as COTR overseeing supplier contract deliverables.
• Weapons-to-Seeker Representative: lead requirements alignment for sensor hardware and radar modes.
• Design and Schedule Checkpoint: validate RF hardware design, software maturation, and performance solutions.
• LRPF Program Coordination: align SAR/direction-finding seeker plans with LRPF programs.
• SOW and Requirements Management: manage changes to SOW, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Sensor Subject Matter Expert: help integrate SAR/direction-finding seeker into Weapons Systems PGM product line.
• Status Management: obtain and report milestones, cost, and schedule data from suppliers.
• Integration Planning: coordinate testing and verification plans within LRPF timelines.
• Team Supervision: supervise and motivate SAR/direction-finding seeker teams.
