Job summary

TechSource, a Salas O'Brien company, seeks a full-time Program Engineer in Albuquerque, NM to support the W87-1 Modification Program. You will assist the Federal Program Manager and liaison with NNSA, DP, and DOD organizations, applying systems engineering and program management to maintain a program baseline.

The role requires 10+ years in government program management for nuclear programs, active clearance, and willingness to travel. On-site at NNSA offices in Albuquerque.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required or equivalent experience
• Active Q or Top Secret security clearance is required
• 10+ years of project/program management experience managing nuclear weapon system sustainment or acquisition
• Nuclear weapon and deliver platform experience, including knowledge of the 6.X process
• NNSA and Department of Defense interagency experience preferred
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across programs
• Knowledge of project and program management, scheduling, and risk tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Some travel is required (approximately 20%)

Responsibilities

• Advise the Federal Program Office on cost, scope, and schedule for major system acquisitions
• Apply systems engineering principles to develop and maintain an integrated program baseline
• Use programmatic tools and risk databases to manage responsibilities
• Analyze and integrate solutions for complex technical problems
• Identify, track, mitigate, and resolve program risks and issues
• Participate in IPT meetings and governance groups
• Provide guidance for program integration
• Assess the W87-1 program against strategic objectives and improve efficiency
