Job summary

AHRI seeks a Program Engineer in Arlington, VA to lead product testing with certification participants and AHRI teams, ensuring timely market surveillance testing. The role requires coordinating with third-party labs, convening meetings, and representing AHRI at technical conferences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a nationally accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Working understanding of product performance testing, including associated standards and methods of testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, plan, and execute project deliverables with minimal supervision.
  • LEED, PE, or EIT desired but not required.
  • Experience leading or facilitating meetings and public speaking/presentations

  • Work with technical working groups to develop performance rating standards and guidelines

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) is one of the largest trade associations in the nation, representing more than 300 heating, ventilation, air-conditioning (HVAC), water heating, and commercial refrigeration manufacturers from all parts of the world. Program Engineer

AHRI offers a competitive salary and a full benefits package including employer contributions to HSA plans, 401(k) and Roth(k) plans in a friendly work environment. Employees are eligible to participate in the alternate workplace program after 90 days of employment with a performance rating of meets expectations or above.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $117,000 based on relevant industry experience.

Please note that this position does not have an option to work remotely.
