The Office of the University Provost at Arizona State University (ASU) seeks a collaborative, data-informed, and strategic leader to serve as Program Director of Student Success Initiatives for the National Scale Enterprise (NSE) grant. This role will lead university-wide efforts to identify, implement and scale innovative practices that advance undergraduate student success.
Under the supervision of the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence, this role brings all-encompassing excellence, research and practice expertise to a team focused on supporting colleges in designing and implementing coordinated strategic interventions for student success. This specific role requires coordinating the relationship with college liaisons and other student success experts within each college. Additionally, we seek specific expertise in how different aspects of student development, advising, learning experience, learning and institutional environment and student engagement may be impacting student outcomes. The role will combine a focus on data-informed knowledge and expertise in all-encompassing excellence to impact student enrollment, retention, completion, and post-completion as well as institutional innovation and change.
This role is central to advancing ASU's commitment to excellencefor all by ensuring that student success efforts are coordinated, evidence-based, and scalable across the institution. Working across ASU's colleges and schools, and in partnership with EdPlus, Student Success Innovations, University College, Enterprise Technology, and the Data Strategy, Analysis, and Planning teams, this role will drive improvements in data use, advising and coaching models, workflow design, program and student support interventions. The Program Director will serve as a strategic connector, building strong relationships and developing shared practices that support timely persistence, undifferentiated student outcomes, and ASU's mission of collaboration and broad impact.
Goals include establishing a consultative and collaborative approach to centralized and distributed student success innovations, institutionalizing transformation through sustained School & College-level engagement and co-ownership of data-informed student success projects and practices. This role operates at both the strategic and applied levels, ensuring alignment between institutional priorities and implementation across academic and support units.
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of computer work; required to occasionally travel moderate distances to perform work across campus locations.
