Job summary

The Pisces Foundation seeks a senior leader to serve as Program Director, reporting to the President and guiding a four-person team. The role drives the Foundation’s updated social impact approach across Environment and SF-focused initiatives.

This largely internal position emphasizes program effectiveness, strategic implementation, and board-level collaboration within a hybrid SF schedule. Based in the SF Bay Area, remote work options are limited.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in nonprofit, private, philanthropic, or public sectors.
• Expertise in collective impact and collaboration for impact.
• Deep understanding of social movements and theories of change.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Lead program areas: Environment and SF-focused initiatives.
• Direct a high-caliber staff and act as a principal advisor to the President and board.
• Oversee learning and evaluation and support board meetings.
• Drive internal program effectiveness and implement updated strategic approach.
