Job summary

Pacific Foundation Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead client teams and serve as the primary contact for trustees. You will guide planning, policy development, and grantmaking while representing the foundations in the local nonprofit sector.

This exempt, 0.6 FTE role reports to the President of PFS. Ideal candidates bring seven+ years in philanthropy/nonprofit work, strong leadership, Bay Area connections, and excellent communication skills, along with comfort managing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• At least seven years of nonprofit sector experience with leadership.
• Knowledge of the Bay Area nonprofit community.
• Strong leadership and relationship management capabilities.
• Familiarity with foundation compliance requirements.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff for assigned client foundations and coordinate team activities.
• Serve as primary contact for boards of trustees and communicate feedback.
• Direct foundation planning, evaluation, and policy development with trustees.
• Oversee board materials, agendas, and presentations.
• Monitor grantmaking processes and ensure timeliness and quality.
• Represent the foundation in local nonprofit communities and events.
• Collaborate on special projects with the VP of Program.
