Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Program Director for the Next Steps Day Treatment Program. You will supervise daily operations, oversee substance use services, and ensure compliance with grant and regulatory entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social service field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CADC required or ability to obtain within 18 months.
• LPC/LCPC or LSW/LCSW/LPHA preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in substance use with increasing responsibility preferred.
• Experience with EHR documentation and review preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum delivery to clients and scheduling of clinical services.
• Ensure reporting, productivity, and service deliverables meet grant and funding requirements.
• Provide direct supervision, training, and evaluation for staff.
• Review written and EHR documentation for compliance with SUPR and Part 2060.
• Adhere to NASW Code of Ethics and maintain professional conduct.
• Demonstrate integrity and respectful engagement with clients and colleagues.

LSSI is hiring a full-time Program Director, Monday through Friday at the Next Steps Day Treatment Program. Responsible for supervising the daily operations and delivery of substance use services as well as providing support oversight to the program. Also responsible for ensuring compliance with grant, regulatory, and funding entities.

Essential Functions

• Oversee curriculum delivery to clients and the scheduling of clinical services.
• Ensure reporting, productivity, and service deliverable requirements identified by LSSI, SUPR, SOR Grant, and funding bodies are met.
• Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
• Review both written and EHR documentation to ensure compliance with SUPR and Part 2060.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
• Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social service field required.
• Master’s degree in a social service field preferred.
• CADC or ability to obtain a CADC within 18 months of date of hire required.
• LPC/LCPC or LSW/LCSW/LPHA preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in substance use filed with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EHR documentation and review preferred.
• Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
• Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
• Background check clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
