Job summary

BronxWorks seeks a Program Director to supervise staff attorneys and paralegals in Immigration and Domestic Violence Legal Services. The role emphasizes program development, quality assurance, staff development, and timely grant reporting to meet contract deliverables.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar in good standing or eligible for admission through reciprocity.
• Minimum of 5 years of practice as an attorney, including at least 2 years supervising attorneys and paralegals.
• Experience in immigration practice including citizenship, DACA, family petitions, green cards, and related relief.
• Commitment to social justice and serving low-income communities of color.
• Ability to communicate with diverse populations and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff attorneys across immigration and domestic violence practice areas.
• Foster a collaborative, holistic approach to client advocacy.
• Conduct case reviews, provide feedback, and assist with complex strategies.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and ethical requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration and domestic violence law and best practices.
• Help set strategic direction for BronxWorks Legal Services and the assigned portfolio.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and program materials.
• Create metrics, reports, and dashboards to evaluate program performance and grant deliverables.
• Represent the department with funders, networks, and coalitions.
