Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Program Director to lead residential programs in the Baraboo and Lyndon Station areas with occasional travel to Madison. This hands-on leadership role focuses on high-acuity behavioral and developmental supports, centered on trauma-informed, person-centered care.

You will supervise DSP teams, implement BSPs and FBAs, manage staffing, budgets, and compliance, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure safe, quality care for individuals served.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership experience including hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Experience with individuals with co-occurring developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses preferred.
• At least 1 year hands-on experience with behavioral interventions and BSPs.
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations, de-escalation and high-risk behaviors.
• Experience in residential/group home or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Strong decision-making, communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee residential programs, including high-acuity homes.
• Supervise, coach, and develop DSP teams.
• Drive implementation of BSPs and partner on FBAs.
• Provide leadership during crisis situations with safe, compliant responses.
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and clinical teams for quality care.
• Manage program operations including staffing, budgets, and compliance.
• Train staff on behavioral interventions, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Conduct performance management, including coaching, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting programs.
