Job summary

Stanford University’s Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) invites applications for a Program Director to lead multi-year initiatives. You will work with the Faculty Director and project leaders to identify research opportunities, engage funders, and oversee program budgets.

The role requires strong policy insight, grant-writing experience, and collaborative leadership on a three-year fixed-term appointment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience; advanced degree may be required for some programs.
• Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
• Ability to oversee and direct staff.
• Basic knowledge of managing budgets and developing financial plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage research programs by coordinating outreach to stakeholders and allocating resources.
• Identify and implement opportunities for new research.
• Source, collect, analyze data, and prepare reports; evaluate trends and alternatives.
• Write and edit complex content for proposals, grants, and publications.
