The Director of the Rapid Rehousing Program for Domestic Violence Survivors will oversee efforts to assist homeless individuals with children under 18 in securing safe and affordable housing after fleeing domestic violence. This role requires developing and maintaining strong partnerships with landlords, brokers, and community organizations to secure permanent housing options. The director will work closely with HRA DV shelter staff and HRA representatives to help clients obtain rental subsidies and ensure they have the necessary financial support for stable housing. Once survivors are placed in permanent housing, the director will ensure six months of aftercare services to promote long-term stability. Additionally, the director will build relationships with at least 60 small landlords (with six or fewer units) to encourage their participation in the program while addressing systemic barriers that may prevent them from renting to DV survivors. This position involves supervising a team consisting of a Housing Coordinator, four Case Managers, and a Landlord Liaison, overseeing emergency grants and budgets to ensure financial sustainability, and applying trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing techniques to support staff and clients. The director will also collaborate with the Workforce Development Department to connect clients with job training, employment opportunities, and other support services that enhance their ability to remain stably housed. Candidates should have an LMSW or a BA with experience in domestic violence and housing programs, a strong understanding of landlord-tenant laws and housing policies, and the ability to manage budgets and grant funding. The ideal candidate will be skilled in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and building sustainable partnerships with landlords, brokers, and service providers.
