Job summary

The Program Development Specialist will support the Washington State Labor Education and Research Center at Seattle Colleges, helping to strengthen fundraising, compliance, and sustainability across multiple projects.

This 2-year project role focuses on developing partnerships, new programs, and grant activities, with regular travel and occasional after-hours events; the position offers hybrid work and strong benefits within the Seattle Colleges system.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience leading fundraising, program development, and/or coordination in nonprofits or labor contexts.
  • Experience developing and designing programs, proposals, budgets, and policies.
  • Proven ability to secure and manage grants and donor funding.
  • Strong collaboration with stakeholders, partners, and donors to advance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop partnerships and contract trainings: write proposals, liaise with clients, design programs, write contracts and streamline processes.
  • Develop new programs: coordinate initiatives from the strategic plan, draft detailed plans, agendas, policies, and recruit partners.
  • Fundraising and grants: coordinate grant development and major fundraising activities with the Seattle Colleges Foundation.
  • Develop the Workers Rights Policy Program: convene partners, plan updates, draft and launch new editions.
