Job summary

Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a full time Program Developer to facilitate the transition for adults to competitive employment and create community-based employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the City of Poughkeepsie, NY.

The role involves building a network of local employers, maintaining relationships for future placements, and coordinating with OPWDD Discovery First/ETP and ACCESS-VR programs to ensure integrated employment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field.
• Two years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational setting.
• Current NYS driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake assessments and documentation for OPWDD Discovery First/ETP.
• Develop and maintain a positive community-based employer network.
• Transport participants for intake and interviews as needed.
• Ensure participant satisfaction and seamless communication with the SEMP/ETP teams.
