Job summary

Wevise is seeking a Program Design Lead to architect and scale a 16-week mentorship experience. You will partner with our Programs and Product teams to create thoughtful participant journeys and practical mentor/mentee resources.

This role requires a blend of strategic design and hands-on execution, turning ideas into structured programs, building scalable systems, and expanding access to technology careers for underserved communities.

Job description

Wevise is on a mission to level the playing field in tech. Through direct programming and partnerships with nonprofits supporting underserved and disadvantaged people to enter and advance in the technology industry, we provide access to mentors, training and educational opportunities, and careers.

Our goals

• Support underserved and disadvantaged people to enter and thrive in the technology industry
• Partner with organizations who need mentorship and career placement programs to complement their main programming, helping them to better serve their beneficiaries
• Support companies in finding the right, often diverse, candidates

We have two programs a free, on-demand mentorship platform that allows people to request mentorship based on specific needs, interests, background, and experience. Mentors and mentees can specify their interest in short, medium, and long-term mentorship. Mentors choose one or more mentees that resonate with them from a curated list of five mentorship requests. Although the platform is open and free to all, we are focused on supporting underserved and disadvantaged people. Mentors and mentees are matched with people who have overcome similar barriers.

Our second program is called the TechPath Alliance, which is a city-focused program currently being piloted in Chicago, IL. The initiative brings together nonprofits and for-profits to collaboratively run a 6 month mentoring and career development program for underserved emerging tech professionals.

Who We’re Looking For

Someone with experience designing or scaling programs, learning experiences, or communities who enjoys both strategy and execution. You might come from nonprofit programs, learning and development, community building, member experience, or program operations. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for creating meaningful experiences are essential.
