Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking finance-focused professionals to lead cost control and budgeting efforts for contracts requiring validated cost/schedule control systems. You will perform analyses, forecasts, and reporting to ensure programs meet negotiated parameters.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in finance/accounting and extensive Excel/EVM experience. DoD or aerospace industry familiarity is a plus; strong analytical and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cost control system
• monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
• Performing analyses and preparing reports to ensure contracts stay within negotiated parameters
• Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
• Preparing program plans to ensure requirements and SOW are captured and scheduled
• Monitoring funding availability by maintaining records of expenditures and projections
• Incorporating contractual changes into control systems and maintaining realistic cost/schedule baselines
• Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly reporting/forecasting and quarterly EACs
• Improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters
• Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
• Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
• Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections
• Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
• Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and quarterly EACs
• Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies

Basic Qualification Level 3

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years professional work experience – OR – Master’s Degree and 3+ years professional work experience
• Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree
• Microsoft Office experience, including MS Excel, will be needed for the role

Preferred Qualifications

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

• In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
• Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
• Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
• Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
