Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking an experienced Program Controls professional to lead financial forecasting, cost and schedule analysis, and quarterly EAC development for defense programs.

You will coordinate with Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance, implement Earned Value Management processes, and prepare reports for PM reviews. This onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Experience with SAP and GAAP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional organizations including Contracts, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, risk and opportunity analysis, and financial planning activities.
  • Perform cost and schedule analysis.
  • Coordinate quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) development.
  • Provide financial analysis and information to Program Management and program functional leads.
  • Prepare financial charts and reports for Program Management Reviews, monthly operating reviews, financial overviews, and other reporting requirements.
  • Perform cost, schedule, financial analysis, reporting, and funding planning using company financial systems, tools, and processes.
  • Implement and maintain Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and reporting.
  • Support the development and delivery of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Establish and maintain program financial and contractual logs, including Work Authorization, Contract Modification Log, and Risks and Opportunities (R&O).
  • Coordinate with Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Finance regarding program financial requirements and deliverables.
  • Analyze program financial and schedule data and communicate variances, risks, and opportunities to applicable stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional organizations, including Contracts, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain, in program development and execution.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience using SAP financial systems and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Experience with manufacturing and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
  • Experience with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience analyzing financial, cost, and schedule data and developing corrective actions based on identified variances.
  • Experience managing multiple financial activities and reporting requirements with established deadlines.
  • Experience identifying and implementing financial process improvements.
  • Experience communicating financial information to management and cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience working independently on assigned financial activities and deliverables.
  • Experience organizing and maintaining program financial records and documentation.
  • Prior Program Controls experience.
