RTX is seeking a Financial Program Controls Analyst for the Naval Standard Missile Systems Development directorate in Tucson, AZ. The role partners with program leadership to manage cost, schedule, and performance, including EVM and EAC development, across multiple DoD contracts.

The successful candidate will contribute to financial planning, reporting, and leadership briefings, while operating within a matrix organization and applying FP&A concepts in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior finance/accounting experience.
  • Experience with computer/Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with FP&A concepts.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The Naval Shipboard Portfolio has an immediate opening for a Financial Program Controls Analyst on the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Development directorate. This position provides a tremendous growth opportunity for an ambitious individual to partner with the program leadership team, which includes Program Managers, technical leads, and functional support. In addition, you will provide the opportunity to increase exposure to multiple facets of finance and the overall organization.

What You Will Do
  • Support of development cost-plus contractual Earned Value Management (EVM) contracts.

  • Experience and understanding of the program business role, APEX, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and/or experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) concepts.
  • Experience managing multiple DoD contracts.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, written summaries, and presentations for stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience presenting financial, cost, schedule, or program performance information to stakeholders.
  • Experience using SAP, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), or equivalent financial systems.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis, or financial forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional organizations, including Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or Program Management.
  • Experience applying established financial processes, procedures, and tools to analyze data and support resolution of program or business issues.
  • Experience identifying data discrepancies, researching underlying causes, and documenting corrective actions.
  • Experience reviewing financial reports and work products for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission or delivery.
  • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with program cost controls, Earned Value Management, Estimate at Completion, Latest Revised Estimates, or Baseline Change Requests.
  • Experience with PRISM or Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
