Job summary

James Madison University is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the implementation of the PREIS grant-funded program. Based within IIHHS and SexEdVA, the role oversees planning, coordination, and day-to-day grant activities.

The position is grant-funded and aims to advance adolescent health education and outreach through training, curriculum development, and collaboration with academic programs. E-Verify and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience working with youth and/or facilitating youth programming.
• Experience managing teams and supervising employees.
• Ability to write grants and research funding opportunities.
• Ability to relate to teens, parents, and families of varying abilities and backgrounds as well as with agency professionals, school staff, and community members.
• Ability to compose reports and organize presentations. Must possess good oratory, organizational, administrative and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, management, and leadership for the JMU Personal Responsibility Education Innovative Strategies Program (JMUPREIS).
• Coordinate logistical details and ensure grant compliance.
• Oversee development and maintenance of relationships with fourteen implementation sites.
• Non-personnel budget management.
• Long-range planning for VPREIS student enrollment and site recruitment.
